1.

POWERLESS AGAINST THE HORDE

Jehoshaphat begins by admitting the obvious: they have no power for this battle — recognizing your real weakness is the first step of honest prayer.

2.

WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO

This confession of confusion isn't a lack of faith — it's the kind of honesty God welcomes when it's paired with trust.

3.

BUT OUR EYES ARE ON YOU

The whole sentence turns on one word: 'but' — we don't know what to do, but we know where to look. That's the pivot of every crisis prayer.

4.

WILL YOU NOT JUDGE THEM

Jehoshaphat reminds God of what He has already promised to do — praying God's past promises strengthens faith for the present problem.

5.

A PRAYER BEFORE EVERYONE

This cry was made publicly, before all the people — your vulnerability before God can become a testimony to those around you.

6.

LOOK TO HIM TODAY

Act: Say out loud right now, over your most uncertain situation: 'I do not know what to do, but my eyes are on You, Lord.'
