You are not an accident. God made you on purpose, and He loves you more than you have ever been loved. He does not want a distant admirer — He wants you, close, as His own child.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Every one of us has turned our own way and fallen short of the life God intended. The Bible calls it sin, and it puts a real distance between us and a holy God. We cannot fix it by trying harder or being good enough.
God did not leave us there. He came in person — Jesus lived the life we could not, died the death we deserved, and rose again, defeating sin and death. The bridge back to God is not our effort; it is His cross.
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
This gift is not earned, only received — by trusting Jesus and giving Him your life. The moment you do, God makes you brand new and calls you His own. It is grace, start to finish.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
There are no magic words. God hears your heart, not your grammar. If you mean it, you can pray something like this — out loud or in silence:
Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for me and rose again. I am sorry for the wrong I have done, and I turn from it. Thank You for loving me before I ever loved You. Today I give You my life. Be my Lord, my Savior, and my friend. Teach me to follow You. Amen.
