Faithful to Forgive
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 JOHN 1:9 · ESV

INTO THE LIGHT
Confession brings into the light what was hidden. That is exactly where grace goes to work.
2.
HE IS FAITHFUL
Forgiveness rests on God's character, not on the quality of your remorse. The promise is His.
3.
AND ALSO JUST
God is just to forgive because the cross has already paid the bill. Forgiveness is not leniency; it is a settled debt.
4.
CLEANSED COMPLETELY
"From all unrighteousness" — not from most of it. When God cleanses, nothing is left behind.
5.
DON'T DELAY CONFESSION
Distance grows in the delay. Confess quickly — fellowship with God is worth more than pride.
6.
NAME IT, THANK HIM
Act: before breakfast, confess one specific sin to God out loud — then thank Him out loud that you are clean.
