“See, the LORD your God has set the land before you. Go up, take possession, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has told you. Do not fear or be dismayed.’”
Moses begins by telling the people to look — the land is already set before them, visible and real, waiting to be taken, not just imagined from afar.
The command is active: go up, take possession. Moses' faith was practical — he called the people to move, not to stand still admiring the promise.
Moses anchors the command in an old promise made to earlier generations — today's obedience rests on faithfulness God has already proven in the past.
Fear was the real threat facing the promised land — not a lack of power in God, but the hesitation of the human heart before the unknown.
God doesn't ask for blind courage but courage informed by his word — discouragement loses its grip when the promise is spoken aloud.
Act: Name out loud the step you've been avoiding out of fear, and take that step today, remembering God has already set the way before you.
