1.

SIX DAYS OF LABOR

God doesn't condemn labor — He sets aside six full days for it. The rhythm He establishes honors both work and rest.

2.

SOLEMN REST

The seventh day isn't laziness — it's solemn rest, a deliberate ceasing that admits life doesn't rest on you alone.

3.

A HOLY CONVOCATION

The seventh-day rest is communal, not solitary — it's called a holy convocation, an appointed meeting with God and His people.

4.

YOU SHALL DO NO WORK

The command is direct, with no listed exceptions — God asks for a full stop, trusting that He sustains what you set down for a day.

5.

IN ALL YOUR DWELLING PLACES

No matter where they lived — the Sabbath belongs to the LORD at every address. Rest doesn't depend on location, but on obedience.

6.

MARK OUT A REAL REST

Act: Choose one specific block of time this week — an afternoon or a full evening — and set it apart before God as a deliberate Sabbath, with no work and no guilt.
