“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
God opens the year with an announcement, not a demand: I am doing a new thing. The first word of this season is His.
Now it springs forth — not someday, not once everything is in place. God's new work begins before you feel ready.
Do you not perceive it? The new thing is easy to miss when your eyes are fixed on what ended. Ask God for sight.
God does not wait for the terrain to improve. He builds a road exactly where there has never been one.
Rivers in the desert: where this past year left you dry, He intends to bring water. Expect life in the barren places.
Act: before breakfast, write down one area where you need God's new thing this year — and ask Him for it out loud.
