1.

A QUESTION THAT IS PRAISE

'Who is a God like you?' isn't looking for an answer — it's a Hebrew way of declaring that no one, anywhere, compares to this God's character.

2.

PARDONING AND PASSING OVER

Two verbs describe the same act of grace from different angles — God doesn't just forgive the guilt, he chooses not to hold the offense against you.

3.

A REMNANT, NOT THE WHOLE MASS

'The remnant of his inheritance' speaks of a people left over after judgment — God's grace is directed specifically at those who remained or were spared.

4.

TEMPORARY ANGER, PERMANENT MERCY

'He does not retain his anger forever' directly contrasts anger, which has a limit, with mercy, which is God's true natural disposition.

5.

DELIGHT, NOT OBLIGATION

'He delights in steadfast love' reveals that forgiving doesn't cost God against his will — it's exactly what he most loves to do.

6.

ACT BY RECEIVING FORGIVENESS TODAY

Act: Name one old sin you're still carrying guilt over, and declare in prayer that God has already passed over it, just as this verse promises.
