“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.”
Not even the death of one of His faithful escapes God's attention — He sees and treasures every life right to its final moment.
The word chosen is 'precious' — something of high value, carefully kept, never tossed aside as if it didn't matter.
The verse speaks specifically of those faithful to God — their death is seen in light of relationship, not distance.
This verse appears in the middle of a psalm of thanks for being saved from death — both life and death matter deeply to God.
For anyone who has lost someone who loved God, this verse says: that departure was not overlooked or unvalued in heaven.
Act: Remember one faithful person who has passed, and thank God out loud for their life and how precious it was before Him.
