1.

FROM VEIL TO CLARITY

Paul has just described the veil over Moses's face — this line is the contrast: where the Spirit is at work, the veil is no longer needed.

2.

AN IDENTITY DECLARED

'The Lord is the Spirit' isn't a distant theological riddle — it's the foundation everything that follows about freedom rests on.

3.

WHERE, NOT WHEN

The verse speaks of place, not time — freedom isn't something you wait for someday, it's what already exists wherever the Spirit is present now.

4.

FREEDOM, NOT LICENSE

The freedom the Spirit brings isn't permission to do anything — it's release from the fear and guilt that once kept you from drawing near to God.

5.

UNVEILED FACES

Right after this verse, Paul describes unveiled faces beholding God's glory — the Spirit's freedom is what makes that direct gaze possible.

6.

ACT BY LIVING UNVEILED

Act: Identify one area where you're still hiding from God out of fear or shame, and bring it to Him today unveiled, in honest prayer.
