I Made, I Will Bear

“even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.”

1.

AGAINST THE CARRIED IDOLS

The chapter pictures idols that must be hauled on animals and carts, dead weight requiring human effort. God presents himself as the exact opposite: the one who carries, not the one who is carried.

2.

EVEN TO OLD AGE

The promise has no expiration date; it specifically covers the season when human strength usually fails, the gray hairs and the slower steps.

3.

FOUR VERBS OF COMMITMENT

Made, will bear, will carry, will save, God stacks action upon action, making clear his care for you isn't a single gesture, it's a continuous sequence.

4.

THE MAKER DOESN'T ABANDON THE WORK

'I have made' comes first for a reason; the one who created has a personal stake in caring for what he made all the way to the end, not just at the start.

5.

FOR THOSE WHO FEEL THE WEIGHT OF YEARS

If you fear growing old alone, or already feel your body weakening, this verse speaks directly to that; God doesn't withdraw when human strength fades.

6.

HAND OVER THE FEAR OF AGING

Act: Write down the specific fear you carry about aging or losing strength, and pray this verse over it, handing that future to the one who promises to carry you.
